Hi Kenya!
My name is Signe Dalgaard and I am 17 years old. I live on an old farm with my parents in a small town called Lyngby(11 km from Grenaa). I have two sisters, who both are living in a big city called Aarhus. We have two horses and a dog. Our house is from the early 1900hundreds, so at the time we are renovating it. Therefore you will not receive any photos of the inside of my house.
This is our garden seen from my room. I think the view is really great and I love the Danish summer because everything is so green and luxuriant after the long, cold and dark winter.
This is me playing my bass. I have been taking bass lessons in two years now. I also take singing lessons and I play in a band too. I like playing music, even though I am not so good at it. I can play most instruments in a traditionally rockband, like drums, bass, guitar, piano, but as I said I am not very talented, I just do it for the fun. I really like piano-playing, because it is easy to understand the theory behind notes and chords. I like many music genres, but I like jazz and electronic music the most. Here is a link to a Danish musician named Kim Larsen. I do not like him that much but many danes do! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-z_R3Q5fICU
The song is about sticking together when there is danger ahead. Many danes think this man is a legend and he is a man that can bring Denmark together.
At Grenaa Gymnasium my majors are music, English and Spanish.
In my spare time I am also a scout or FDF which it is called. FDF is a Christian organization where we learn about the Christianity, but also where we camp in tents and learn how to orientate with a map and compass and all sorts of other things. Actually I have just participated in a big competition, where we had to solve 15 tasks every day as make a fire as fast as possible, solve morse codes, swim across a small stream.
I like FDF because it is so different from my everyday life.
For about 2 years ago at a FDF-camp I met a boy named Kristoffer. We became really good and close friends and one day we fell in love and became a couple. That is now 18 months ago and we are still together. That is not usual for teenagers at the age of 17 especially when we live 3 hours of train riding away from each other. He lives in Aalborg. It is not always easy to be so far away from each other, but we have to. We spend a lot of money on train rides and on phonecalls. We also use chatting and SMS a lot to make it work. It is therefore very important to me to have access to computers and my mobile, even though that is kind of spoiled. I am very grateful that we can make it work, Kristoffer and me.
I spend most of my weekends with Kristoffer, but I also go to parties with my friends. We dance and drink beautiful colored cocktails. If I am not doing one of these things, I am hanging out with my friends in my room or helping my dad renovate the house.
This is it for now! I hope you got an insight in what I am doing in my spare time and I hope you liked it! I look forward to hear from you!
Bye from
Signe D!
